Land for a new home for the Chiltern Centre

Crest is committed to upholding our longstanding pledge to provide land for the delivery of a new Chiltern Centre as part of Phase 2 of Highlands Park, providing a new home for this highly valued facility.

The Chiltern Centre is a purpose-built care home in Henley on Thames offering a range of services to young people (aged 16 – 30) with learning disabilities (often alongside physical disabilities and/or complex medical needs) that empower them to live life to the full.

Following the success of the Centre over the past decade or so, its current site is no longer fully sufficient to cater to the needs of the Centre and the people it cares for. Providing land for a new Chiltern Centre in Highlands Park will deliver them a high-quality brand new facility that will enable them to fulfil their long-term ambitions.

Providing on site employment and community facilities

The provision of employment and community facilities at the north-east corner of the site will see a key opportunity to relocate the community centre and employment space to a more prominent location on site.

Delivering employment space will see the Highlands Park Phase 2 established as an attractive location for local business, ultimately contributing to the local economy.

Land for the provision of homes for the Community Land Trust

As part of Phase 2, Crest is providing land for the provision of housing under the Community Land Trust.

This will provide housing at the most affordable price point possible to meet local need.

Land for facilities for Henley Town Council’s Parks Department

Close engagement with Henley Town Council has revealed a need for greater industrial space for the storage of equipment managed by the Town Council’s Parks Department. Our proposals will see .12ha of space provided for this purpose.
